look who came crawling back....

Believe it or not, our New Year's Resolution was not "miss every show this year".

We're itching to get back into the Subcity intimacy den, and after being consistently usurped by circumstance and error, we've made a pact that nothing short of armageddon is stopping us this evening.

This month, we cast our focus over some exciting talent a little bit closer to home...

Scotland has undeniably been a driving force behind the forward motion of European techno in recent years, and it's high time we paid tribute to to the people carving out their own niche in a constantly evolving scene.

Our featured artist this evening is Gary Beck, who's been a veritable whirlwind over the last couple of years. His distinctive yet varied trademark sound has been heard across the continent, ever since breakthrough single "Consumed" was snaffled up and championed by a certain Mr. Richie Hawtin.

On the label side of things, we've selected Sleaze Records, consistently one of our favourites of recent times. Also coming straight out of Glasgow - you'd be forgiven for thinking label boss Hans Bouffmyhre is some kind of Swedish-Flemish-Ukrainian male model. He's from Paisley, and it's not his real name.

So, join us, as we cement the reputation of that old adage - "third time lucky".
