rocksteady special
Tonight on Argonaut Sounds it's a Rocksteady Special, with the first hour of the show being dedicated to late 60's sounds from Treasure Isle, Studio One and more, featuring tracks from Alton Ellis, the Paragons, Toots and the Maytals, Desmond Dekker, and the Techniques. You can count on hearing plenty of Impressions covers, sweet harmonies, and basslines which would go on to be used throughout the 70's and 80's and right up to the present day. We'll also play some more modern updates of some classic rocksteady riddims, and in the second hour will play our normal mix of reggae and dancehall old and new.
