"Subcity's a totally integral part of me"
The big chill dog of hip-hop Hudson Mohawke (aka DJ Itchy, aka DJ Mayhem, aka Culture City Kid, aka...you know who i mean) has been involved with Subcity since 1996, his no-niche, turntable virtuosity pushes hip-hop and club like no one has before. Ahead of a series of nights in Austin, Texas he chatters about his days with Pro Vinylist Karim, making hardcore choons (sic) with Cloudo, his first appearance on the station, LuckyMe and making more Hudson´s Heaters.
The show also features some of 1991´s finest breakbeat hardcore from a set of Shaun fae Solar´s newly digitized vinyl. Although the show is heavy on the beats, expect some beatless aural violence from Felix Kubin and a newly interpreted piece of Erik Satie´s work.
