news

science loves tuesdays, hates music.

I'm afraid that, once again, there will be no show this week. I'll be down in London giving a presentation.

There will be a show next week unless several giants decide to block my path and beat me up with massive clubs made out of dragon skeletons...that would make an awesome album cover.

blame science and the 15th birthday

I'm afraid there'll be not show this week due to science again. Some immunostaining has taken far longer than I expected so I'm stuck in the lab.

If you are feeling a desperate need to hear my voice and can't wait till next week, you can listen to the 15th Birthday broadcast where I helped out with the presenting for the first couple of hours.

knives get in the way of music

I'm currently stuck in the lab stabbing cells with a knife and taking picture of the results so unfortunately there'll be no show tonight.

In good news, I'll be helping to present the coverage of the Subcity 15th Birthday party on the 6th March. The line up is pretty sweet and the sounds system will be a beast, so it should be a damn good night. Get down to the Arches for it if you can or listen to the coverage here if you can't make it.

no show today

There no show today as some of my experiments have ran over, sorry. On the plus side I'm getting some cool pictures of cells using an ionscope.

no show this tuesday

Due to being away at a scientific conference there won't be a show this Tuesday (8/12/09). However I should be back next week with tons of songs about Satan or something like that.

new show time

Our show is moving to 5PM on Tuesdays. Hopefully this'll mean Dave and Emilia can make it along more regularly. Sadly as a result of the extra people talking this will entail less airtime for my mellifluous voice.

apologies

Sorry for the lack of show yesterday, 22/9/09. I (Lewis) am ill with some horrible cold/flu thing, Dave is in Croatia and Em only got out of the lab at 10:30PM. We should all be present next week for some face ripping metal though.

genres, genres, genres...

Cadaveric Incubator of Endoparasites // 15.09.09

Do you know the difference between Death Metal and Doom? What separates Grindcore from Hardcore Punk? What the hell do those previous sentences mean?

In this show we aim to answer these questions by squashing as many different genres and sub-genres thereof into one hour.

Cadaveric Incubator of Endoparasites: public service broadcasting at its most perplexingly brutal.

chasm charity gig

Sadly there will be no show this Friday (10th April) as Dave's band, Chasm, are playing a charity gig. However if you fancy listing to some metal and giving some money to cancer research then head down to "Mosh Against Cancer". It should be awesome. More details here.

...ugh, linking to myspace makes me feel dirty even if it is for charity.

a beginners guide to black metal

Cadaveric Incubator of Endoparasites // 06.03.09 // Guide to Black Metal

In an effort to educate as well as entertain we've decided to provide listeners with a guide to the oft misunderstood genre of Black Metal.

We'll take a look at he origins of the sound in bands such as Venom and Bathory; study some of the lore surrounding Dead's suicide and the infamous church burnings; peruse some Black Metal from non-Scandinavian bands; and finally investigate how some bands have evolved their sound outside of the traditional mold.

No goats will be harmed during the making of this show.

back in my day...

Cadaveric Incubator of Endoparasites // 20.02.09 // Back in my day...

Since it's our first show of the new FM broadcast we though we'd do something a bit different from the usually banter and semi-random tunes.

We've been into metal for a while now so we though we'd play some old-school bands. But to make things a bit more challenging all of the track on this show will be by bands that were around at least 10 years ago and are still producing good music.

we're moving...

For the FM broadcast we will be moving to a new time slot. As of next week (9th Feb.) the show will be on 6-7PM on Fridays. I think that officially makes us a drive-time show so we'll probably have to play some Girls Aloud and talk about Big Brother...er...nah, I think we'll keep to Cannibal Corpse and what would happen if you made t-shirts out of antimatter.

we come bearing riffs

Cadaveric Incubator of Endoparasites // 13.01.09 // We Come Bearing Riffs

Since Lewis was ill and couldn't make it in for the last show before Christmas we're going to use the cracking pun that was meant to be the title of the Christmas special for the first show of the new year.

It's a simple premise which you can probably figure out. What better way is there to herald in the new year than playing some tunes with beastin' riffs?

Enjoy
