With a new year and a new term but the same old deadbeat club, nostalgia was the order of the day. As well as sharing some particularly horrific first year memories, we aimed to introduce any new listeners to what deadbeat club were about last year. All the fumbled song changes, dodgy fading and periods spent chortling into the microphones were actually all part of an orchestrated plan to give freshers a taste of deadbeat club in its early shows. Now you too can feel part of the show, from its earliest roots! Its humblest beginnings! And not because we underprepared. On top of that (as if you needed treating any more!) we play some of our favourite post-punk and new wave tunes, and take part in a live studio debate as to whether or not we should purchase a second hand ski machine.

And so the new run of shows begins, not with a bang but a whimper.
