My producer and record connoisseur, Fergus, in whom I owe an enormous dosage of thanks for trekking through the severe winds, torrential rain and generally abysmal Scottish weather, compiled the playlist for this broadcast as I negligently left late, arrived late, and ultimately ended up playing nothing for this particular installment. so props to FerGo.

However, as previously mentioned it was left in perfectly capable hands so enjoi this wonderful variety of sounds which includes swathes of hazy, glacial, exotic, and shimmering, brewed up beats. From the sliced up, dark-step presence of a high-pitched wailing of a desperate lover’s search on Dark0’s, “Icebox Rmx,” conjuring up a scene involving a ghostly, and somewhat mystifying walk on a treacherously steep, foggy, marshy mountain on a crisp winter’s night where clouds lay low and the oxygen levels reach tipping point on the verge of running out, to the spatial exploration of the imaginative virtuoso of Flying Lotus’s, “RobertaFlack,” remixed by another virtuoso of the recent, contemporary wave of beatmakers, Mike Slott, as it ebbs & flows from one tinkering grazing comet to the other. The android, liquid-boogie, love hop of Onra as he searches for, “The One,” with the help of Slum Village’s T3, (r.i.p.), to the embryonic ambience of the rather ethereal and pleasantly hollow, tranquil sounds and quaking beats of Mount Kimbie’s, “Before I Move Off,” to the playfully quirky and erratic stop-start, broken melting beats of Dimlite’s, "Firevomit (O.D.N.)," a downtempo yet aurally uplifting, otherwordly composition which always helps the senses to thrive and awaken or reawaken our state of consciousness. Finally we subsequently culminate with the fantastic remix of MF Doom’s “Great Day,” remixed by the always amazing Four Tet.
