A monthly show on travel; sharing fascinating travel stories with you whilst going around the world in our studio. We'll be looking at how travelling with specific aims and goals changes the experience, by talking to professors, artists, friends, you and those who just went because it was there.

voices of the show

Footsteps // 18.10.11 // Spain

Dr John A McCulloch is a Hispanic Studies Programme Director and lecturer at the University of Glasgow whose research interests include early 20th-century Peninsular fiction and poetry, especially the avant-garde and modernism.

Ms Miriam Maraver Teruel is a Native Language Teacher at the Hispanic Studies Department at the University of Glasgow.

Sophie Platts-Palmer is our friend who happened to live just around the corner and agreed to record the Brain in Spain.

Alan Wanders lives just across the street from us and without his incredibly soothing voice, we would not have any bears on the show.

Edgars Pavlovskis, confessed to have borne three Spanish babies and added a satiric undertone.

Lazslo Belkovits reflected on his experience during the Camino de Santiago introducing the end of the show.

We want to thank everyone for their invaluable contribution and hope you enjoyed hearing your voice on the radio. Might not happen ever again.

Tune in next month!

Peace,

Adam&Andris

Footsteps // 30.04.11 // Lost in Mexico

One day you are in Scotland. The next day you find yourself in Mexico all on your own, having no destination, nowhere to sleep at and + you are ginger. Tune in this Saturday at 12:00 Glasgow time to listen to the amazing story of Jack, who left his home to see what else is out there and spent two years traveling around Mexico and Latin America, working as a chef, being on the road and quite simply getting the most out of his life.

our guest

Footsteps // 05.03.11 // A Taste of Cuba

We are happy to announce that our very first guest is going to be Dr Greg Philo, who is a lecturer at the University of Glasgow as well as the head of G.U. Media group. Greg went to Cuba a decade ago and spent his time talking to people from various social backgrounds, gaining a rather unique experience.

We will try to catch a glimpse of Cuba by looking at Greg's visit there and we can promise a lively and humorous discussion.
