Initial Itch // 1200-1300 15.01.10

lost loves, shoes, and pussycats

This Initial Itch is something of a tribute to poet Graham Buchan, as we read our favourite selections from his excellent book, There is Violence in These Vapours (available to purchase here, from the publisher).

In addition to Mr Buchan's wonderful words, we have music from Glasgow-based folky minstrels Potential Strangers, led by the breathtalking Dol Eoin Mackinnon (who was our resident musician for December's live Initial Itch at the 13th Note Cafe). We also have new music from The Hidden Cameras and classic poetry from our friend Allen Ginsberg.

Stay tuned to the Itch here on Subcity.org: coming soon on the show we are preparing a live broadcast from Polmont Young Offenders institiution with lower east side legend Martin Belk, and a T.S. Eliot special.
