For April's M&M we have Brain Machine from the excellent ThisIsNotAnExit record label playing live.
Some things that have been written about them:
"Straight from the electronic vanguard, Brain Machine are one of the most haunting, sensuous and distinctive bands you'll hear all year. Their music is a picturesque, at times frightening journey into the unknown. It displays not just a restless forward momentum, but also perhaps a nostalgia for a future that never came to pass. There are definite echoes of dub, techno and the krautrock and synth experiments of 70s-80s Germany, but they're really only candles lighting the way through The Brain Machine's vast, disorienting universe."

Mr Raoul K (Baobab Music)
January 24th, 11pm-3am Stereo, Renfield Lane £6/7
For our January outing we are very proud to welcome Mr Raoul K over from the sleepy German town of Lubeck. His series of releases on the Baobab label were some of our favourite records of last year, and we think he should help to brighten things up in a cold dark January.
Originally from the Ivory Coast, he combines traditional African instruments and rhythms with European production techniques and soundscapes to make beautiful afro-beat house and techno and his records have been championed by the likes of Carl Craig, Optimo, Henrick Schwarz and Tobi Neuman.

Entry is £6 before midnight and £7 after (six bucks all night for those with student/unemployment/disability cards).
