The first of a four part series on the history of popular music, as available in your second hand record shop of choice; this week Music for Pleasure is stating at the beginning - which is a very sensible place to start.
Whether or not the Beatles actually changed everything, we've taken 1963 as the start of modern music, we're going to spend an hour looking at what was there before. You can expect large doses of crooning, big bands, children's songs and a little bit of rock and roll along with a 50p single of the week, a song from our youth and of course the Mystery Bag Mega Mix
