Before it became as commonplace as the term 'Angular Guitar Music' Dubstep was once seen as an exciting new derirative hybrid genre stalking out of garage b-sides and the like. Very quickly we were all salivating over each new prospective DMZ, Hyperdub, Deep Medi or Tectonic release and so it continued for a few bass driven years which we aim to pay homage to. From here we go to the second wave of producers from various other genres, expanding, evolving the notion of what the music could be whilst undeniably raising the production bar. We then finnish up by taking a look at some of the biggest tunes from the past two years whilst asking head in hands 'where did it all go wrong?' This is merely our own interpretation of how things have went and since we only have two hours can't really look at many of the great new music that has been influenced by or is a direct offshoot of the dubstep sound...
