This evening we have 24 yr old Cork based producer and DJ Shane Linehan on the show with an exclusive mix. 2 years ago Shane started producing and had his first release on the digital label NG415 last summer, he then went on to launch his own vinyl label Basic Grooves Recordings in the September of 2011 releasing 100 cheeky white labels of his EP ‘My Initial Grooves’; these fell into the hands of house DJ’s like Jeremy ‘My Love Is Underground’ and sold out within a week on Juno Records. The EP was then re released in the January 2012 and had similar success. Shane’s just had an EP out on Local Talk and his second Basic Grooves will be hitting stores this March as will a remix on Spanish label Saft. Linehan’s mix shows a slightly deeper side to his collection and features a couple of his personnel favorites. The Irish chap is busy in the studio so expect a lot more to come from him in 2012 and beyond.

Tonight we welcome 54th and west on the show . For those of you little monkeys not familiar with them then heres a wee bio :-

they are a DJ/Production duo from glasgow that delve into all corners of house, from the deep dark and twisted, to the classic cuts that keep dance floors going to early in the morning.

2012 looks to be an exciting year with upcoming releases on Scenic Tones, Animal Tune and plenty of other projects in the pipeline. More DJ slots around Glasgow and beyond should keep us busy throughout the year. Catch us next at the Brunswick hotel in March for LOOP...

After years of friendship and DJing together Sam, Alex and Craig aka Zoo Look combined forces in 2010 through a mutual love of house music. Their first release ‘Holdin’ On’ was a great success after being picked up by Defected side-label Tenth Circle. The reception for the debut EP was extremely positive and this got the ball rolling very nicely for things to come, including the follow up releases on Kolour LTD, Sccucci Manucci, Tusk, More Music and many more to be announced, things are looking good for Zoo Look’s future. Now with the focus on deep house (their original true love) you can expect to hear a very different side to Zoo Look over the next few months.

We just couldn't wait until Jan 2012, so along with our good friends over at the farm we decided that not only would we put on an extra show over the festive period, but that we would also make it a meaty 6 hour affair so we can showcase everything from deep spaced out dub right through to all things techno.

I will be co hosting the show with Animal Farm's delightful Darren quail, we will be joined by a couple of suprise guest dj s in the studio (alongside the full animal Farm + nosleep. roster) We will be reviewing what we have enjoyed in Glasgow over the last 12 months, and also looking ahead to what promises to be an exciting 2012 for both nosleep. and the Animal Farm fiddlers.

Dave Clarke also happens to be playing the subclub that night , and oh yeh it is also Mr J.B.D Carrol's birthday so, tune in for what promises to be a very intriguing spectacle

Harvey also played Tea in the Park this Summer and is headlining the pressure room at NYE, with a string of new releases lined up for early 2011 the future is looking very rosy indeed....

In tonights Podcast No Sleep goes back to there roots to give listeners an insight into the music of the man that encouraged us to start the project. Swizz Deep house legend & globally respected sthlm Audio boss, Agnes. Agne's sound is immediately recognisable, unique however maintains a simpleistic yet origional vibe that is sadly missed in much of todays droney and unexciting house music. We start the show with the first 30 min of a recent live show he recorded at studio 18 in Amsterdam. From this short sample of the mans sound it is eassy to see how talented he is.

We hope to bring him back over towards the latter end of 2011 to play live, following his amazin 2 and 1/2 hour dj set he provided at our opening night back in May, at the La Cheetah Club. We hope he can bring over one of his exciting new rising stars with him, in what would be a mouth watering prospect :)

Tonights show is focused a little more towards the dancefloor, Jonny and i showcase tracks that are really working for us at the moment and getting those bums shaking. However the distinct difference from our point of view is that these tracks still retain that depth that is often missing in the sea of Rubbish tech house that is out there.

First off i take you on a little short intro thats builds to quite a steady chug ! but then jonny chills things out mid mix in a way that perfectly demonstartes the NO Sleep vibe
