The Pop Cop // 1800-1900 28.08.11

the mainstream pop special!

It's a brand new term so me (The Pop Cop) and my co-presenter (Big D) have come up with something a bit different to blast our way back into broadcasting...

We're hosting a one-off Mainstream Pop Special show!

The Pop Cop team spends every waking hour trying to unearth the best music that Scotland has to offer while brain-mushing commercial pop pap is served up on daytime radio to the masses.

HOWEVER... sometimes, very, very, very rarely, along comes a song that is so close to scientific perfection that it can't fail to unite the sheep and the shepherds. You know the sort of thing we're talking about...

Beyonce - Crazy In Love
Sugababes - About You Now
Snap - Rhythm Is A Dancer

For 60 minutes, we invite you to lock away your obscure vinyl, shake the hipster fringe out of your eyes and join us as we celebrate the greatest mainstream pop songs ever made.

They charted... get over it!
Your dad knows all the lyrics... sing along with him!
Someone else probably wrote the song... who cares!

Go wild, go crazy, go POP! (for one hour only)
