With Nikki away making sure that Glasgow Art Fair runs smoothly, George has been left to do his usual musical musings.

However to join him in his musical analysis this week he will be joined by Gary McKenna, one of the architects behind the now thriving gig scene at Pivo Pivo, one of the best small venues in Glasgow. In under two years Pivo Pivo has gone from an ordinary tucked away bar to now holding gigs on an almost every night of the week, often to packed out crowds with a brilliant sound.

With a fairly unique ticketing system aimed to counter-act the ‘pay to play’ epidemic in Glasgow, and with such an array of genres on offer throughout the week, Pivo Pivo is now becoming one of the most respected venues in Glasgow.

As well as discussing how we got to here, Gary will also be discussing the future for Pivo Pivo and the Glasgow music scene, as well as discussing his latest project Flatbeat – a company that aims to bring live bands right into your home.

On top of all of this Gary will be showing off a few of his favourite bands from the Flatbeat roster and from the backlog of Pivo Pivo gigs, as well as generally joining in with the usual banter that has cemented the Pop Goes The Revolution song-based brickwork together since its inception.
