Rara: 18.11.08

Once upon a time there were two little girls who lived in a castle made of dusty old books. Their parents were lousy enunciators, so the girls were named 'Laura' and 'Tara' for it was easy for them to say through mouthfuls of sponge cake. One day Laura and Tara were a-walking down dictionary lane when they stumbled upon a gang of gaily dressed youths. The colourful characters looked them hard in the eye, questioned them about their strange names and offered them a microphone and strange spinning disks through which music could be heard. The girls were most pleased by these strange contraptions and used them to tell strange stories of their dusty castle home!

Their favourite fellow storytellers were:

A dedication to our favourite Rachels, theories on the crossover of popular TV sitcoms 'Friends' and 'Cold Feet' and Laura's quite astounding reading of her own personal diary of that time when she was a Superhero. Those were the times. We Also tried to follow this with a Beatrix Potter CLASSIC the tale of Squirrel Nutkin, but the record player would't work and Laura had to improvise with 'The Tale of Peter Doherty Rabbit', the coming of age/castration theories RIFE within Blyton's work and more suchlike to make Tara shake her head in dismay
