The Red Room // 0200-0300 08.12.10

glasgow

For our return to live broadcasting after last week's mammoth pre record, we decided it would be a great idea to pay tribute to the city of Glasgow; its bands, its venues, and its people. In this show, we played some of our favourite Glaswegian bands and artists, discussed their works, and also their live performances (or lack of!).

We also, in another first for The Red Room, debuted a fantastic track off of local Glasgow band (and dear friends), The Seventeenth Century's first EP, The Seventeenth Century (Part 1), released January 2011. Though we will no doubt return to the subject of Glasgow in a later show (as we barely scratched the surface of what makes up its music scene), we hope you enjoy the small but significant portion of music it showcases, and that it serves as a guide to both local and non-local listeners to the wonderfully creative city of Glasgow.
