A New Year, A New Red Room

The Red Room // 1700-1900 10.01.12

a new year, a new red room

We welcomed 2012 with our best show of the year so far.

We discussed all manner of subjects, including the restorative powers of coffee, weird gifts we have bought each other over the years, and our New Year's resolutions, as well as butlers, Clint Eastwood, and the perils of being an extra on a TV show.

We also discussed serial killers, prostitution and old age, we reminisced about our teenage years, debated on the relevance of radio, bemoaned the atrocity that is Spotify, and expressed our dislike of adverts on DVDs.

We also discussed Thom's new musical project, Left of Venus, as well as several upcoming gigs we are looking forward to, including Cry Parrot's New Year Festival at Nice 'n' Sleazy, Opaque at 13th Note, and Tate+Lyle, The Man From Ultra, Four Inches ov Foreskin, The DDN, and Scrambled Ovulation at 13th Note. We also discussed our friend Now Wakes the Sea and his debut album, Fluoxetine Morning.

We also reviewed films by Sergio Leone (For a Few Dollars More), and David Fincher (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo).
