Now Wakes the Sea
The Red Room // 0200-0400 02.02.11
now wakes the sea
Joining us this week on The Red Room was the bespectacled maestro himself, Bo'nessian musician Alan McCormack, aka Now Wakes the Sea, who, in addition to playing us some of his wonderful aleatoric folk compositions, provided us with suitably acerbic banter. Topics of discussion included the pros and cons of spending six hours in a rehearsal room, drowning out drunk people on public transport via noise music, and our first gig together as a band.
Also included is a short review of local psychadelic kraut droners Frams Torners' second ever gig at Mono Café Bar, discussions on the act of shooting a screen test, on the films of Stanley Kubrick, Darren Aronofsky, and John Huston, on Thom's experiences with Transcendental Meditation, and of rebels who may or may not have causes.
