With regards to the tragic news involving Broadcast vocalist Trish Keenan, we at The Red Room decided that recording an episode revolving around their music was pretty much inevitable, as well as a fitting tribute to such a unique and precious band. We played material that spanned their entire career, as well as several bands who have been attributed as influences on Broadcast.
In an attempt to avoid spending the whole show in a somber mood, we also spent a good deal of it waxing lyrical about our daily lives, including our (sometimes successful) rehearsals with various bands, our casual criticism of a certain West End eatery and its clients, a gig by fantastic local artist Remember Remember, a documentary by Errol Morris, and a certain mentalist who has been keeping us entertained for the past week.
