Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 21.11.10 // Direct Action Gets The Goods

Screamo and general miscreant behaviour emanates from the dingy studio commencing 8pm tonight.

It will culminate in tears, most likely.

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 10.10.10 // Fight Night

Pissed off swedish crust punk, amongst others to feature tonight.

Good clean fun.

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 03.10.10 // Righteous Jams Til' The Beer's Done

Just myself and maybe Ewan presenting tonight so tonnes of Screamo, these past few weeks have seen pretty unprecedented levels of blog trawling and obsessive 7" 'procuring'.

Who knows where Tom and Ali are by the way?

Oh and can someone keep us updated of the Juve vs Inter game since we'll be missing it? Thanks y'all!

life is pain

Apologies for no show last night, sickness amongst the ranks meant we couldn't pull it together.

We'll be back soon, just hold tight.

no summer here

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 12.09.10 // No Summer Here

Summer's over (hope it was rad for everyone) and we are here to kick it's disappointing carcass to the dirt for another year in a row. Truly sorry.

Listen up this Sunday at the righteous hour of 8pm for all sorts of hefty aggressive jams.

Go Hard or Go Home!

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 30.05.10 // LAST SHOW BEFORE DOOMSDAY!

Got some new Kaddish tonight, maybe some new Sed Non Satiata, Worship and some obligatory power violence from Ewan.

Tell your mates, all the deranged ones anyway.

newly defiling the sabbath!

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 14.03.10 // Newly Defiling The Sabbath!

So some (evil) genius has decided to put us on at 11pm on the Sabbath otherwise known in some dubious circles as 'God's Day'... Whatever that means.

Well God, we got news for you. It's now our day.

And to celebrate this wanton disregard for the property of God we played 'We Hate You' by Electric Wizard. How's that for a STATEMENT OF INTENT! This new episode should be up soon.

So aye...

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow. 11pm on Sunday nights.

What a reasonable hour :)

kate mosh!

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 03.03.10 // A Man Down and A Few Beers In

Ok... I'll level with you all. Alot has been happening in the Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow camp that has prevented us from causing a disturbance for the past month or so (stolen macbooks, losing presenters to 9-5 office slavery etc etc) but we shall be back tomorrow, that's a promise, or ye can kick my head in.

I've been filling the new itunes library with alot of old school scandinavian death metal from the late 80's and early 90's - when riffs were HORRID and GRUESOME and EVIL (f*** your 'tech' nonsense). Expect mosh from the likes of Nihilist, Entombed, Carnage et al as well as the obligatory DEMILICH tune (really can't get enough of those dudes).

There'll be chat about the aforementioned break in, probably involving puns and also a ramshackle spontaneous review of poser-tastic black metal documentary 'Until The Light Takes Us' (which was actually not too bad, Varg is one charming man).

Later Y'all

necrohordes amass!

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 10.02.10 // Kvlt Kvlt Kvlt Kvlt Kvlt

Hurtling through brutal tunes and brutal chat tonight once more y'all.

Working on amassing some class black metal for tonight... enough of this whiny crybaby emo.

Dinnae greet.

Midnight as usual

risen from the dead!

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 27.01.10 // Glassjaw Sweat and Death Metal 'Riff-Offs'!

DT,RT is getting back in the swing of things and has outdone itself by getting two new episodes up in like a week...

If you aren't down with the facts this is pretty unprecedented.

Maybe this could be some new thing, drip feeding you scraps for ages then going all out and spoiling you rotten.

Or whatever... We don't mind.

worms armageddon and party punk!

Holla!

Back again after a weeks absence for more of the same puns, tunes and downright time wasting.

Scena 12" came through the door this morning and its as good as raein playing punk sounds, so that'll be played along with hefty amounts of thrash and hardcore.

possessed by black f***ing metal!

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 25.11.09 // This show has gone straight to hell... literally

CHURCH TONIGHT, ASHES TOMORROW! To celebrate Nargaroth's 111th birthday (cause he formed way back in 1898 - man thats an obscure joke... :/) we decided to dim the lights, cover the crucifix and get some horrendous blackened metal down everyones throats.

So tune in for a show hotter than the smouldering ruins of Fantoft and colder than those unsilent storms in the north abyss that pissed Abbath off so much.

Don't mind the puns, the music will be good! We have new tunes from the likes of Dodsangel (Fenriz's band of the moment or so I hear) and Austere and newish tunes from Gris, Sombres Forets and Ornassi Pazazu. So far so obscure.

There may even be a couple of stone cold classics chucked on the christian architecture-bonfire too.

Neat.

who haven't we alienated?

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 18.11.09 // 'Crap tunes, great chat' - Everyone

Holla.

This week Charlie, Ewan and Ali (if he remembers what day it is) will try nullify the absence of Tom (the most 'Scottish' and 'Hard' one) by getting stuck right into new stuff by Maths, Loma Prieta and Bane, amongst others.

How about yous all get involved in listening to Crasier Frane before us an Test Card after us. Make a night of it.

Kushtie?

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 11.11.09 // Hairdressers and Power Violence!

Grindcore & Power Violence special tonight, midnight, witching hour.

Tonnes of new stuff like Hatred Surge, Magrudergrind, Weekend Nachos etc.

There may be a competition, which'll involve y'all contracting tinnitus and subsequently winning for it.

Or not.

And the usual vegan bashing.

schedule change!

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 04.11.09 // One for the ladies...

Hello all,

Our slot has now moved to Midnight on Tuesdays, to those who are interested in tuning in live. Other changes afoot come in the form of a strict hour slot, which means we'll probably have to shut up a bit or economise with a policy of shorter tracks, I don't know.In fact I sometimes know so little about what we're doing I don't even turn up to the radio show.

I have however been gracefully informed that this weeks theme is one for the ladies, birds, wastegash etc etc. Bands preferably with female vocals but I reckon a couple with girl members of another category might sneak in, either way sounds like a great excuse to blast in some more Broken Oath to me, that I can promise you. And I am reliable.

Anyway aye, listen in for more of the same excellent fare we have come to be known for + Birds.

Best Regards,

A.

kate mosh, sarah moshelle gellar, mosh hartnett...

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 24.10.09 // When Ali thought it was Friday and couldn't come..

Stupid puns and loud tunes the night, as always.

I know for a fact there'll be some new Pelican played amongst other post-metal nonsense. I also plan to get some early nineties scandinavian death doom going because there is a severe void of it, in general.

Tonight at midnight, y'all know the drill.

gonnae stay positively positive aye?

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 17.10.09 // Positively Positive

Hiyaz!

We've had the absolutely genius and wholly obvious idea to make tonight devoted solely to straight up hardcore.

Expect everything from youth crew and vegan straight edge through to tough guy nonsense.

So get some X's on the backs of your hands and don the sports shorts (or not, posers...)

education schmeh-ducation...

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 10.10.09 // Pure Lost The Plot

Yeah so it's been quiet on all fronts since lectures and labs and LEARNING got in the way of our juggernaut radio careers...

So we have finally gotten around to getting the playlists submitted for the last two weeks and y'all will be able to listen in a wee bit.

If you are bored of your own itunes then check out November 13th and Glasses. Fabulous stuff.

an open address to all bros.

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 26.09.09 // Ieper-sode 2 and other collected truths.

Signalling an end to our brief spell of novelty programming DT,RT will be churning out a more laid back mix this week of all things hardcore, metallic and metalgazey (which I have been informed is in fact a real genre.) If you're lucky a couple of the tie ins and euro-tales we left out of our first loosely related Ieper-episode will make a showing, if you're unlucky however the intention is least an excuse for a truly excellent pun. Trust though that it will be VERY GOOD and you will LIKE IT A LOT.

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 20.09.09 // Holding a Gun to God's Head

This week we have our bro Neill staying at our flat and he plays in Perth true death metal overlords Nerrus Kor! He knows his metal and hates god, so we guess it was a splendid time for a death metal show! Tune in and get blastbeated out yer nut! Charlie x

kayo dot tonight!

If y'all get down to stereo tonight and pay six pounds to the man at the door you'll get to see ex-maudlin of the well boys (and girl) kayo dot! Glasgow lads atomized and grindcore mob la Guerre are supporting. It's our mate phil (wolf amongst wolves) who's putting it on so we'd be stoked if you'd make him happy and go :)

well that went as well as could bloody be expected

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 12.09.09 // Aesthetic Dialectic

Thanks for those who gave their time last night, you could have all been in ABC dancing to MGMT but instead y'all chose to lend us an ear and thats commendable!

Expect next week to be a little more organized, a little more deranged and a lot more egoistic now we gained some confidence/arrogance. It's a fine line.

first episode or getting drunk at a sxe fest....

Dance Tonight, Revolution Tomorrow! // 12.09.09 // Aesthetic Dialectic

Hey y'all! We're all mega excited about our first episode, christened the Aesthetic Dialectic episode!

This week will be loosely based around two of our crew's recent (mis-)adventures in the land of Belgium while at Ieperfest 09. Expect a large proportion of the tunes to revolve around that lineup (Raein, xKingdomx, Trash Talk and Misery Signals are pretty much dead certs) and if yer all lucky you'll hear the stories of how I ended up falling asleep in the middle of a euro disco and about the 80's thrash loving skinhead we met in the weirdest bar we've ever been in (his business card had a skull on it, but no apparent profession - we assume his business was metal).

It'd be fair to say though that we'll stick to anything heavy, passionate, fast and brutal as far as sounds are concerned.

We'd be stoked if you tuned in and pitched in some glorious praise or scathing discouragement depending on your disposition.

Charlie :)
