the main course

This week sees round two of our ongoing Eat To The Beat tournament, and after Zoe's astonishing win last week who knows what may happen. David 'Gastronomic Grey-Area' Jackson will be filling his self-proclaimed massive gob with After Eights whilst his opponent Thin Joe Evans stomachs the nasty industrial scale cheese. David returns in style to the show, having previously beaten John at lemon curd tarts, whilst Joe makes his debut in what could be the most sickly of matches. Just how do you eat cheese, mint and chocolate together?

If you want to eat along at home you'll need the following (per person):
1 x 1kg slab of Mild Cheddar Cheese
4 x 300g packs of After Eights (or cheaper equivalent)
1 x ambassador costume
1 x cheese knife

There's also another chance to win yourself a sack of tasty leftovers.

We'll divulge in another game of Jesus Says No, and have tracks from Auteur Jazz, The French Wives and Brother Louis Collective.

That's this week on Rock Island Line, 6-8pm Wednesday, worldwide on www.subcity.org and for the weegies, 106.6 FM.
