...You Might Already Know Them

source tags & mixtapes, series 2

We're delighted to announce that Source Tags & Mixtapes is back for a new series. We now broadcast at 5pm on a Sunday evening. This means that people could actually be listening live, so we'll try and up our game from here on out - honest.

The first show of the new session sees the start of a new feature, "Off the Record", where we'll be playing great music that didn't make it onto albums. This could mean b-sides, rarities, covers, live cuts and bootleg snippets... You get the idea. To launch this feature we played a track from the Adult Swim Singles Project - a compilation which includes 8 exclusive singles from 8 artists. You can grab the whole thing for free here.

Regular feature "I Care Because You Don't" is going to be returning each week too. This time, Ross tries to sway J-Ham towards The Microphones by giving him a taster of their best work. Also appearing on this episode is a new instrumental El-P track from "weareallgoingtoburninhellmegamixxx3", which Ross reviews here.

We've never played Women or Nachtmystium before on the show, so those bands make their Source Tags debut here. Oh, we almost forgot... How can we debut a new series without playing something from Source Tags & Codes?
