Inspired by the imminent arrival on these shores of Brooklyn all-girl surf-guitar punks The Vivian Girls, this week's show used this as a thinly-veiled excuse to play a bunch of marginally related sounds, including The Fnords, The Carrots, The Shangri-Las, Haight-Ashbury and The Pipettes. This was also a long-awaited excuse to play inadvertent psychedelic fabulousness from The Shaggs. If you've never heard it, listen now. If you can handle it.
