la la la

In todays episode of Support Your Local Poet I will introduce you to some new blood in the form of Futuristic Retro Champions, The Barent Sea and Jesus H. Foxx.

Winning Sperm Party are offering 'Snowbird' by The Japanese War Effort as a free download, here: http://www.winningspermparty.com/jwe 'Snowbird' is the originally self released debut album from The Japanese War Effort and is full of ambient and experimental pop from Martin Moog and co. It's well worth checking out.

Also featured on todays show are psychedelic pop lovelies from Glasgow: Haight-Asbury. Their new album 'Here In The Golden Rays' is available to purchase from Itunes from 8th November and they will be playing in King Tut's on the 25th November. You can hear more from them here: www.myspace.com/haightashburyuk and i'm sure you'll be just as besotted with them as I am after a wee listen.

Todays Poetry Corner feature is from Camera Obscura with 'Red, Red Rose' which was the B-Side on the single 'I Love My Jean'. Camera Obscura recorded this single after their third Peel Session where John Peel asked them to put music to the works of Robert Burns and this is the result!

See you in a fortnight,

Lesley x
