Music can both help and take away from the effectiveness of a TV advert. Many songs have made adverts famous, and other songs have been made famous by advertisements.
Guinness' use of Leftfield - Phat Planet, for example, in the famous Surfer advert made the song one of the most iconic pieces of music of 1999.
Tonight we play a variety of songs that have featured in a collection of recognisable, and maybe some less well known adverts over the past 20 years.
