feature album: efterklang - performing parades

Hello again,

Today is looking to be an absolute cracking episode and I'm very excited to play some of these tunes for you. The feature album of this week will be Danish band Efterklang's Performing Parades which is now out on the band's own label, Rumraket (also available through Leaf). As the name suggests, the album is a live performance of their excellent album 'Parades' accompanied by the Danish National Chamber Orchestra.

I was lucky enough to see Efterklang play at Oran Mor late last month and I can safely say it was one of the best gigs I've ever seen, so this episode is not to be missed. Amongst Efterklang listen out for some other sublime and soothing aural treats.

bibio - the apple and the tooth

Hello there!

Today we're featuring one of Warp Records latest releases, Bibio's 'The Apple and the Tooth'. This is the third for Bibio for 2009 and is mainly consisted of outtakes and remixes from his 'Ambivalence Avenue' LP - also released on Warp.

Anyway, it's an awesome album, combining atmosphere with excellent hip hoppy style beats in a seriously uplifting (and/or melancholy depending on your mood). Definitely a show to check out.

exam stress remedy!

So, for Glasgow Uni students, exam timetables are out, and we're beginning to feel the pressure. The weather is changing, it's getting cold. So what better way to shrug off that exam stress and warm up than listen to the soothing sounds of this week's feature album, Air's 'Love 2'.

This is an amazing album of which I'll be playing three songs off amongst other pretty gems that will, at least for the hour of tempertendency, help you forget the troubles and the cold.

first show! exciting times down at temper tendency

Temper Tendency // 04.11.09 // first show for tempertendency!; Kings of Convenien

Hi there,

My first show as presenter this is bound to be entertaining listening. The sweet sounds of Norwegian duo, Kings of Convenience's brand new Long Player 'Declaration of Dependence' will be our feature album for this week.

As well as this I'll be playing some sublimely pretty tunes to chill out to and give you a rough idea of what my show plans to be about.
