But here's my advice to the rest of you:
Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.

Gesundheit.
That time of year again (not Christmas, Propagandhi don't believe in Christmas... probably). The time when there's good gigs everywhere and no chance you'll make it to all of them. Never fear. This week Test Card gets changed in a phonebox (no laughing... it's cold) and comes to your rescue.
Playing songs from various upcoming shows; hear Phil gush over the line-up at Canadian punk rock legends Propagandhi's Edinburgh tour date, throwing bah humbugs around at missing Cry Parrot's Christmas party and opening his presents early (sexual euphemisms abound) in looking forward to Dillinger Four.

i've heard it all before, it makes my ears bleed.
Test Card // 25.11.09 // Test Card Terrifying
Live sessions. We gots 'em.
Not the ones where Radio One has Insane Clown Posse doing a Gamelan version of Slayer's Reign In Blood, throws it on a cd next to The Blackout (we don't know either) covering Rihanna and Pixie Lott covering David Guetta and calls it eclectic... Seriously, those last two are real.
Test Card do sessions a little differently. Radio One gives you preened rockstars bullshitting about how the next number one has always been a huge influence of theirs. Test Card steals Rockstar from the SRC, breaks its head open and drinks its caffeinated insides... suagr-free and out of date.
On the run up to their first year anniversary, we got east-coast punks Joey Terrifying in to talk and play music... just like real bands do.
Next week: Insane Clown Posse doing Reign In Blood... Gamelan style.

This week, join Test Card and Snake Plissken as we guide you through the rusted seas of discarded PBR cans and the burnt-out shell of a downtown Holiday Inn.
Coming in the wake of recent beard-punk-flannel-sunburn-beer-tapsaff-sweat-basement-cacophonic-wet dream-smorgasbord-extravaganza THE FEST, Test Card brings you the various Florida sounds (focusing on the Orlando and Gainesville scenes) that gave birth to the label in charge of all the madness.
Highlights include someone requesting something and it getting played... Whaaaaaaat?

love, test card & frank turner
Test Card // 21.10.09 // Test Card thinks YOU can get tae folk
Frank Turner.
Best get used to hearing that name.
Formerly of much-loved British post-hardcore outfit Million Dead, over the past few years Frank Turner has been busy making a considerable name for himself bringing an accessible blend of folk/punk to the fringes of the mainstream.
Frank's infectiously successful albums have seen him making various major radio playlists, signing to Epitaph, joining the Revival Tour and playing strings of sold out dates both in the UK and internationally. All well and good, but last week saw Frank's meteroic rise to fame reach its zenith- an interview with Test Card.
We caught up with Frank at the Glasgow date of said sold-out tour and discussed: success, the (ahem) "scene", politics (ahem), Spandau Ballet and a bunch of stuff in between...
Catch the interview on Test Card this week!

Answers on a postcard please.
This week Test Card keep you up to date with some of the latest gig noisings (deal with it MS Word red line) in Scotland. Playing some garage/grunge (not the bad stuff) to mark Mudhoney's recent tour stop, bemoaning American Steel's tour partners and other assorted punk/acoustic goodness.
One of your five a day.

punk shop boys
Test Card // 07.10.09 // Test Card, Just Following Orders...
Yep, that title is the best we could do.
Pet Shop Boys are more punk than you.
Find out how on this week's episode as Test Card brings you their reworking of the score from a classic piece of revolutionary Soviet cinema. That, sandwiched between some political rap and some hardcore punk, followed by a brief summary of recent and upcoming gigs in Glasgow and you should be all set till next week trying to figure out how it all went together...
Listen again now.

Celebrating the move to 0000-0100, this week's episode played a lot of punk-rock ranging from various Jack Dalrymple projects to a brief tour of the Chicago scene that grew up around ska band Slapstick.

Test Card // 23.09.09 // Test Card Episode II: The Clown Wars
The shitty prequel? Oh yeah. In this episode Test Card takes you back to a time before Anakin went bad and before Phil was capable of speaking and pushing buttons at the same time. The show begins with a joke about tough second shows, guess what happens next...
Aside from technical mess-ups (yeah, plural), Test Card play a selection of music to celebrate Paint It Black and their recent tour stop in Glasgow. Expect music from various Dan Yemin projects and related acts.

a wilhelm scream wipe their ass with test card
Test Card // 16.09.09 // Test Card Can Eat A Bag Of Dicks
A Wilhelm Scream.
One of the most exciting bands making music and a favourite at Test Card.
Wilhelm comes with a sound that defies conventional ideas of categorisation and a dedicated ethos of innovation that shrugs off any potential complacency that comes with consistently producing some of the best music of the genre... or non-genre.
Test Card was lucky enough to catch up with A Wilhelm Scream at the Glasgow leg of their recent European run- a tour that has seen them playing to crowds at Ieper, Reading and Leeds festivals and sharing stages with acts like The Flatliners, Polar Bear Club, Chuck Ragan, Municipal Waste...
Catch the interview on Test Card's first show of this year's broadcast and hear Brian Robinson (bass) and Mike Supina (guitar) talk: live shows, Nick "The Professor" Angelini, recording, new releases, Paper and Plastick, nerdy Wilhelm trivia and hot sauce.

do not adjust your set
This is not a test.
Disturbing reports of propaganda reels from previously unknown radio show Test Card are surfacing over the internet. Details are still sketchy and the film is yet to be authenticated by experts. An as of yet unidentified source aligning themselves with Test Card has taken credit and distributed the following statement with the video:
"After years languishing in post-production and several major budget revisions, Test Card brings you a sneak peek of what to expect this year on the show.
Not really, expect the unexpected...
BOOM."
You can find the video here- viewer discretion is advised.
