Theez Boyz R Athletes: 01.11.08
This Saturday's Theez Boyz R Athletes will be an Italo Disco special. Tune in from 10PM to Midnight for two whole hours of the best Italo Disco I can get my hands on. I'll be playing classics from this highly influential genre such as Spacer Woman by Charlie to more recent Italo Disco influenced tracks like Love Explosion by Alden Tyrell.

Here's the Wiki blurb on Italo Disco for those who are unfamiliar:
"Italo-Disco is a very broad term, encompassing much of the disco music output in Europe during the 1980s. It is one of the world's first forms of electronic dance music. It evolved during the late 70's / early 1980s in Italy, Spain, Germany, and other parts of Europe, and later influenced most of the 80's disco productions of the world. Italo disco music has a distinct, futuristic and spacey sound, which was created using synthesizers, drum machines, and vocoders. During the 1980s, the term "Italo-disco" was used in Europe to describe all the non-UK and non-US based dance productions. In North America and the UK, Italo-Disco was mostly an underground phenomenon that could only be heard at night clubs or through homemade DJ mixes."

theez boyz vs nasa, mcconnell's bar, hope street!!
That's right, we'll be DJing downstairs with Subcity's own NASA in McConnell's Bar opposite the Theatre Royal on Hope Street on Friday the 19th of Sept (that's next Friday!). We'll be on from 7PM - 1AM.
