thirty-two // 29.11.11 // 208 - Billa Qause
On this week's episode of Thirty-two we're excited to bring you a very special guest mix from Billa Qause, a beat maker/graphic designer/MC and all round creative boss all the way from Athens, Greece.
We first heard Billa on Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz compilation with a track called All Night, and since then everything else we've encountered by him has been straight up dope. His album Jazzova was one of our favourite releases of last year, and it's still keeping it's solid place in our most played lists.
As well as his solo project, Billa is also a part of Pad Trio, a collaboration with J. Melik and Kill Emil that's determined to bring the old school hip hop flavours back to the scene with a whole lot of MPC button bashing. If you haven't caught their live stuff yet we suggest you go check it out.
With recent bombs dropping on Riddim Fruit, Cast-a-Blast, and his own label Beat Quick, you can be sure that Billa's mix today is nothing short of head noddin'.

For the first time this season we'll be locking the doors to the Subcity studio and throwing down some of the tracks that we've been feeling recently, it's been a long time coming but we're up to the challenge.
We're excited to have the two hour show to ourselves, expect fresh vibes and genre jumping, from house and techno to electro funk and everything else in between.

thirty-two // 01.11.11 // 206 - Mr. Manyana
As one half of the elite Jazz Spastiks, Mikey (Manyana) has really been at the top of his game recently. With their latest album Mode 7, an old school flavoured collaboration with Junclassic, hitting the very tops of the US Hip Hop Charts, and the legend that is Mark Farina queuing up for tracks for his critically acclaimed Mushroom Jazz series, it sure is a good day for REAL hip hop.
In his own time, Mikey loves his house music, be it deep, bumpin' or jackin', every time it's just straight up flavoursome, and he's got the collection to back it up however he may be feeling. We've been trying to get him into the studio for a while now but just kept on putting it back, but the time has finally come.
Expect tracks on wax from a DJ/producer and all round nice guy that we can't big up enough, along with a well rounded warm up from ourselves.
