On this weeks episode we have Subcity stalwart Shaun Fae Solar, who, alongside being a humanized encyclopedia of the station, helps co-ordinate some of the finest parties ever to grace our fair city for Vitamins.

In his free time Shaun likes to collect rare wax, give out abuse over the phone live on air and collect stats for the masses.

He's taken some time out of his busy schedule to throw it down in the studio today, and we've been promised it's going to be a bounce.

underground sounds

thirty-two // 20.09.11 // 203 - DJ Dribbler

DJ Dribbler was one of the original four DJ's at the world famous, seminal, house and techno night "Pure" in Edinburgh. As well as residing at Pure nights in Glasgow, London and Dublin he has played all over the world thanks to his stint as Orbital's tour dj in the mid 90s.

He’s been living for ten years in New York DJ’ing and 7 months in Tokyo. During this time he worked closely with Belle and Sebastian organising their aftershow parties across the states and in Japan. He also works with Roots Manuva's "Lord Gosh Sound System" throwing memorable parties in Glasgow and Brooklyn with more to come.

Recent appearances have seen him DJ'ing on Ibiza’s Sonica radio and holding fort every week at the Solid Gold Safari, Glasgow’s only all day free house party every Saturday at the almost as world famous "Halt Bar."

DJ Dribbler defines underground and has been a highly regarded and respected purveyor of the realest house music you will hear anywhere on the planet for the last 20 years.

He also saved a seal once.

On this week's show we bring you one of Glasgow's favourite up and comer's, Raksha.

Part of the Deadly Rhythm crew, he's one of the heads that brought Martyn's sound to the city, and alongside making floorfillers with HaHaHa, Ragnar's pretty much had his hands full.

We're excited to have him in the studio today, and are expecting four to the floor bangers and low frequencys to engulf the airwaves. We know he can deliver.

Smiddy's been causin' a ruckus all over Scotland for some time now, with residencies at Acid Thunder, Electrikal and Die Late to name a few, anyone who's caught him in action know's that he's only packing the serious heat. Detroit is in the house.

We'll be warming up to that with a selection of tracks gathered over the summer months, expect some after hours electro funk and booty bass.

Keeping us company in the Subcity sweatbox this week is IN ABOUT IT! graphic designer and local MC extraordinaire Panda.

After many a madwaeit freestyle in the Art School smoking area, Panda has been progressing like fuck, and is now an active member of the Volition Scotland movement, which showcases local underground talent, mostly hip-hop, but they manage to leave themselves a bit of room to move.

Having just confirmed a versus with Alibi for the 26th of March in La Cheetah Club, we asked Dirty Basement to come have a wee warm up set live on Subcity, this show is the end result, filled with wobbly goodness and the usual glitchy nonsense from both parties. It consists of 2 half hour back to backs from each of us, then on to a full scale back to front with one tune from each side for the last hour, so it's 32, DB, 32, DB, and so on...

The night's sure to be a belter, we've got the bold Indra rocking some dubstep on our side and Digital Stitch supporting the Alibi cause, expect cheap entry, bangin' tunes and a bit of mischief to keep you on your toes.

Warm up will be provided by 32's favourite newcomer Floyd, she'll be staying on the crowd's side for this one playing anything and everything to get you dancing.
