Past decisions now only objects of memory, stationary and stubborn, held onto despite there redundancy; like the contents of your parent's attic long after leaving home; mental obstacles amongst the array of ideas you juggle or subscribe to.
Relocated, anywhere; so long as it’s unfamiliar and forbids excess baggage. Standing in a place with your starting point in view and the means to make any kind of sentimental conclusion. Abandoned plans, child-born-dreams and consistent friends shine through the haze of daily tasks and week-long grudges; proving that a new perspective often brings appreciation long sought-after.
Starting off this month with some songs we enjoyed the past few weeks; mostly old releases, though new to us. At the end of the month, we’re back in Nice N Sleazy for the eleventh Only the Subject. No guests this time, just us continuing to do a version of this show, in person - perhaps louder and less sad - for whoever wanders in on a Tuesday night.
The second half of this afternoons episode features the long-awaited guest mix from our friend Hannah, one of the first people we met here at the station and someone we’re always eager to hear select music. Nice Pipes, Angel Delight and much more; sometimes silly, sometimes serious; always fun, always playing the music we'd hope to if we had a clue about any other styles than sadboi-indie-rock and ambient hits.
Different from most other mixes we’ve had, this one feels less like an artist feature and more like a postcard from a friend; an example of a show we would have loved to have made ourselves. Thanks Hannah!14:00 - 16:00
