P. Y. La Boy

P.Y. La Boy and the New Generation is the first in a series of radio shows based upon Hanna-Barbera's P.Y. La Boy morning cartoons. It was released on Subcity Radio on April 22, 2024.

It was the first radio show to feature real bangers instead of traditional 'duds' with no swag. This was heavily promoted before its release including a tagline used during commercials stating, "This time, the bangers are real." This theme would be followed up in several subsequent broadcasts released in the mid-2020s and early-2030s. Although real bangers had previously appeared in most of the 1960s P.Y. La Boy series and features, this continuity was ignored with the radio world said to be encountering real bangers for the first time. After P.Y. La Boy and the Last Dairyboy, the broadcasted P.Y. La Boy shows would not feature real bangers again until seven years later in Coast to Coast with P.Y. La Boy.
