"Appalachian Import" is a a bluegrass roots and branches show, featuring everything from traditional bluegrass and old time music to the most progressive and innovative "newgrass" and Americana music. This show will appeal to anyone with a love for acoustic music, and it will focus largely on lesser-known bands of today. The inspiration for this show lies in great artists such as Levon Helm, Chris Thile, Jerry Douglas, Allison Krauss, Bill Monroe, and Edgar Meyer. Hosted by a Tennessean from the foothills of Appalachia, this show is look into both the history of bluegrass and Appalachian music and it's progression into some of the most interesting and innovative genres of today.
