Expressions - w/ Burroughs
Burroughs is a Glasgow-based producer of raw, Detroit-inflected house and techno. His debut Mail Art EP appeared on Domenic Cappello’s Seventh Sign imprint 2017 who went on to release 2 further EPs Habit of Mind and 2024’a Half Light. His sound expanded into widescreen electronics with The Whole Damn Drift (Outerzone 2023)—a record balancing atmospheric drift and floor-ready momentum.
Burroughs can be found regularly on Glasgow’s Clyde Built and Buena Vida radio stations. His long-forged partnership with Robert Tomlinson has recently spawned No Shallow Pool – a new party (next date Saturday 30th August in McNeills w/ Natalie Davidson). The pair have a half century of record hunting between them; the new party providing them the opportunity to share select cuts from their collections in an intimate setting on Glasgow’s southside.
