Hanging By A Crotchet - 25: The Organ

This week we will be taking a look at the so called ‘king of all instruments’ - the pipe organ. Whilst the organ today may only conjure images of gothic castles (Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D minor) or wedding processions (Mendelssohn’s Wedding March), the organ has held a hugely important position in western music, culture, and, of course, religion for many centuries.
