Hanging By A Crotchet - Episode 4: Wonderful Women and Rach 2
This week we will explore some of our favourite women of classical music who managed to craft a legacy with such little support and opportunity. In particular we have one of the oldest named composers (pictured above) the German mystic Hildegard von Bingen.
For our big piece this week we will be having a close look at Rachmaninoff's spectacular and heart-breaking 2nd Piano Concerto that he managed to compose after being cured from a long bout of depression by hypnosis. Listen to the episode to find out more.
