Music, Please! - Discotheque!

Disco sounds are the dancefloor spirit of '78!
This latest edition of Music, Please! comes courtesy of only 7“ vinyl disco cuts from 1976-1980. The broadcast is an intentional imagining event: a gathering of the kind of obscure, funky, campy and dramatic disco cuts that a horny homo might have heard in the busy gay bars of San Francisco or New York on a Friday or Saturday night - maybe the Emotional Inn, Twin Peaks Tavern or Badlands - before heading out for a night of sex and a soundtrack of 'morning music' in bathhouses like the Hotel, Bulldog Baths, St. Mark's Baths, the "Everhard" Baths, Big Apple, Club Baths or Ritch Street Health Club.
These are the sounds of exclusive gay spaces of the past, a sensibility of melody and rhythms dedicated to pioneering bathhouse DJ Steve Fabus.
