Music, Please! - Dipsy Doodle

Music, Please! episode 26-02-16
Music, Please! | 16/02/2026 17:00 - 18:00

Music, Please! "Its Dipsy Doodle time!"

“I hate it!!”

What is the breadth of beauty in sound? And the pleasures to be savoured immersing ourselves in the pluralistic and spectroscopic dimensions of audio otherness?? So many outsider perspectives become lost in the haze of history and memory, but we summon them, seance-like, to conjure the audio selections today.

“I love it!”

Today’s Music, Please! tests the boundaries, pushing beyond what is wonderful, or ridiculous, to consider the multiple in-between pleasures of difference. Forgotten youthful trends, the hip sound extinctions of another time, glorious sensibilities long expunged and derided, just too much dust in the grooves. These antiquated vibes contain their own truths and authenticities, from clunky piano eccentricities, go-go sounds for hippie parents, polite delinquencies, glitzy jazz timpani’s, muscle beach Lou Lou’s and teen cinema soundtrack wig-outs.

Embracing the non-usual is act of pure affection.
