For this Phlox show we focus on creating collaborative Sound Poetry and invited several sound artists to “sound” the poems written and spoken by Tea Dukic Young.

About Tea Dukic Young:
Of Croatian and Canadian background, @tea_dukic_young was raised between Spain, and Austria before moving to Scotland in 2018, where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Spanish Literature at the University of Edinburgh.
She began writing plays and short stories as a child, while also developing her musical pursuits through theatre and as a jazz singer.
Primarily a writer of short stories and prose fiction, she has more recently started experimenting with poetry. Her work explores themes of religion, death, politics and feminism, often framing these through a lens of humour.
Much of her inspiration comes from the intersection of different art forms, with a particular focus on connecting musicality to language in her poetry.
She is currently pursuing her Master's in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow, where she is working on her debut novel, Funerals, Frills, Fuckery, as well as developing her first poetry collection.
