Subcity Presents - Intibint
Intibint is the moniker of UK-based Yemeni producer, singer-songwriter, visual artist, and DJ Noha.
Born in London and raised between the UK and Yemen, her work as a musician explores themes that straddle both the personal and the collective, creating songs that are as emotional and political as they are relatable. Her music is primarily electronic but moves beyond genre boundaries, weaving through downtempo, alt-R&B, and hip-hop while remaining inspired by Yemeni sounds. Her live performances infuse live vocals, field recordings, original production, and covers of traditional and revolutionary Arabic songs from Yemen, Palestine, and Sudan.
Intibint’s musical palette is shaped by an upbringing surrounded by music from opposite ends of the planet, growing up around classical Arabic and traditional Yemeni music at home, while being immersed in core UK underground sounds like grime and DnB. As a DJ, this culminates in sets that, like her music production, are unrestricted by genre, moving intuitively between Arabic, electronic, dancehall, grime, dubstep and beyond.
Across sound, visuals, and performance, whether producing original music, curating a dancefloor, or through her work as the founder of @al.yamaniah, Intibint’s practice is rooted in resistance and reclamation.
