Supertouch - w/ Tekhole and 3rdcrush

On Friday 3pm-5pm, we're bringing Glasgow-based London-regular Berlin-arrival head Tekhole onto Supertouch Radio. 2 hours of Tekhole and 3rdcrush in the Subcity studio. this is foreshadowing. KEEP IT IN MIND.

Tekhole has spent a furious last six months finding her way behind the decks basically everywhere in Glasgow that matters, and such a run is deserved and proportionate to the level of quality she carries with her. She is a DJ with a profound depth - her regularity at Exit, recent shows at Stereo, and upcoming appearances at Sub Club, speak to a taste that not only spans an impressive range and versatility, but dips into deep pockets of crystallised knowledge for genres that are not frequently (but should be) combined.

Tekhole sounds very immediately like Tekhole, with a sound that feels incredibly sincerely an expression of an individual's taste and personality. Welding together equal measures of electro, gqom, broken techno, hard drum, and classic trance, with an unfamiliar, experimental edge slanted on every selection, the sonic result is a *genuinely* unique style, lasered together with mixing that's subtle and patient, and flawlessly precise on timing and phrasing. There is an uneasy, pure, dystopian electronicism to the atmosphere Tekhole conjures up, with touches on organic, vocal elements, but a steady, inquisitive gaze that is looking quite far into the future of club music. A DJ with obvious, material potential that punches through the monitors wherever she plays.
